An office move is judged on one thing: how quickly your team can work again in the new premises. That depends on planning done weeks before: an accurate inventory, the building’s access rules and a clear label on every box.
What we move
- Workstations: desks, chairs, drawer units, cabinets and shelving, taken apart and reassembled from the Economy + service upwards.
- IT equipment: computers, screens and printers, packed and protected with every service level.
- Archives and files, in numbered boxes that go back on the right shelves.
- Meeting rooms, reception furniture and kitchen equipment.
- Mirrors and paintings, protected and packed with the Standard service.
- Heavy items such as a safe or a large copier, at €90 excl. VAT per item over 80 kg.
Towers at La Défense and buildings in Paris
Office towers have their own rules for moves. Expect to deal with:
- a loading bay to book, with a maximum vehicle height;
- a goods lift reserved in set time slots;
- a list of movers’ names and vehicle registrations sent to security in advance;
- floor and wall protection required in lobbies and lifts.
Send us the building’s move rules as soon as you have them. The number of movers, the size of the truck and the timetable depend on them.
In Paris streets, the truck needs a parking permit (autorisation d’occupation temporaire) from the city, requested at least 15 days before the move. In Courbevoie and the other towns around La Défense, the town hall issues it, each with its own deadline: 7 days in Courbevoie. We make the application with the Standard and Comfort services. When furniture cannot go through the lifts or the stairs, a furniture lift through a window costs €250 excl. VAT for half a day, per address.
How we plan an office move
- Inventory. You send us the list of workstations, furniture and archives, with photos or floor plans of both sites. The more precise it is, the more precise the quote.
- Written quote. It is free and shows the volume, the service level, the extras and the VAT.
- Labelling. We agree a simple system with you: one number or colour per room or desk, matched to the plan of the new office. With the Economy, Economy + and Standard services, staff pack their own desk contents in labelled boxes.
- Moving day. The team protects the furniture, takes apart what needs to be, loads and drives, then places each item according to the plan and puts it back together.
- In between. If the new premises are not ready, your furniture and archives can wait in storage.
What an office move costs
Offices are priced like homes: the volume in m³ at the rate of the service level you choose, plus the distance, €30 per floor without a lift, €250 per furniture lift (half a day) and €90 per item over 80 kg, all excluding VAT. The minimum charge is €250 excl. VAT. Our moving prices page shows how volume and service level combine. For an office, your inventory gives us the volume.
The Standard service suits most offices: we pack the fragile items, protect mirrors and paintings, disconnect appliances and apply for the parking permit. With the Comfort service we pack everything, including desk contents and archives, and you keep one contact person from quote to delivery.
Working with international teams
Companies around La Défense and in western Paris often employ staff who do not speak French. The quote form is in English, and so can be your quote and our written exchanges. Some of our movers speak English, not all of them: a floor plan with each desk numbered lets the team work without a briefing in French.
